Season Festivities

So, I have been playing around with poetry for a little while, and I kind of like it.  It’s fun to be able to throw around phrases, making them seem like they mean something else.  My favorite poems that I wrote are all a group that are based on the seasons.  Without further ado, here are my poems, the Season Festivities.

Winter Fantasies

The whirling dancers twirl across the ground

Happily enjoying this blissful evening

But suddenly, they freeze

For a dazzling lady was drifting down to them

There she is, more beautiful than the morning sun

More beautiful than the shining silver moon

Dressed in white lace, rival to the queen’s

She looks as though she is floating

Gracefully down, down, and down

She joins the once whirling, twirling dancers

And is lost among the crowds

But she is not forgotten, oh no

She is burned into their memory

Forever they shall remember

That single snowflake

Falling down, down, and down

Autumn Kisses

The colors are so vibrant

Reds, oranges, yellows, and greens

The perfect moment for a confession

A confession of faith,

Or confession of love

As she walks beside me, I try to talk

But no matter what, I cannot do anything

My mouth has sealed,

The lump in my throat has stopped

My voice from ringing clear

For all to hear

Will she hear me if I speak now?

Will she smile or frown?

I try and I try

But nothing comes out.

She looks at me curiously

And I can’t help it

I try

I try to speak, but it comes out with a sigh

“I love you.” I say in my head

But my mouth chooses to say it too!

She looks at me with amber eyes

Beautiful on the trail of fallen leaves

She leans forward

And suddenly I can speak

Not with words,

With passion

With love

Summer Dreams

The beautiful breeze

The warm sun

The freshly cut green grass

All are beautiful, yet all are taken

Which flower do you pick first in a meadow?

The most fair of them all

There is a flower, nay, a rose

She waves in the wind

Singing sweet tunes

She is effortlessly beautiful

But dangerous

Spring Lovers

The new life of spring

Is fresh in the air

Smelling of rain and grass

Of sunlight and flowers

I won her last autumn

I am a lucky man

We walk in the meadow

Hand in hand

I think she is happy,

For I cannot read minds

But I can see her smile

And her crinkling eyes

She turns to me and she sparkles

The wind in her hair

The sun on her face

And the love in her eyes

I think the same look is on me,

Maybe even more so

I am beyond happy,

She cannot be more happy than me

I won her and she’s mine

For longer than eternity

Thank you so much for reading!  I hope you enjoyed my first poetry!

Hello! I'm a young teenager who has one dream; to make people happy! I want to write something that people want to read, something that will inspire them to keep fighting. Thank you so much for reading and supporting me!

  1. I loved the poetry. I find that poetry creates a picture in my mind connected to the emotional message and with a sense of connection and empathy with the artist/author, but it is all only available to me when I find a quiet corner and calm my mind completely. Therefore, I don’t read much poetry since it is hard to find the quiet corner or to calm the mind. I think it would be worth cultivation for me. Thank you so much for sharing!!
