I’m not sure if I 100% agree with this quote.  I understand what it’s saying, like don’t expect everyone to fall on their knees and worship you, but appreciate what you have because a lot of people would trade places with you in a heartbeat.  But I don’t think that you should “expect nothing.”  When I hear, “expect nothing,” I think about expecting from yourself.  Expect nothing but your best in everything you do.  I completely agree with “appreciate everything” because, obviously, I am so privileged and a lot of you reading this are.  We really and truly cannot understand how lucky we are.  But what I’m getting at is, that you shouldn’t expect everything (not anything) from other people, but expect greatness from yourself, because you can achieve that if you push yourself.

Quote 17!  How did you like this one?  I didn’t know exactly what it’s getting at, but what did you think?  Comment below your thoughts.

Hello! I'm a young teenager who has one dream; to make people happy! I want to write something that people want to read, something that will inspire them to keep fighting. Thank you so much for reading and supporting me!

  1. I think appreciation expands our lives and brings positive energy. But I too struggle with the message “expect nothing “ that seems to deny the joy available from expectations if one focuses on “expect” or negates standards if focused on the nothing 😶
