This is amazingly and painfully true! I’ve spent most of my life hoping to find someone who thinks (almost) the same way I do. I’ve found two wonderful girls my age, who are my best friends who see almost the same world as me. They are smart, wonderful, and thoughtful. They sympathize and empathize with all people. But they still do not see the same world I see. When I look at girls my age, I see some potential, but most of them need a reality check. To see that the world is not made of the present, but a thousand different futures. The boys I see that are my age make me think there is no hope. They are caught up in the present, and I see almost no potential. I have yet to meet a boy who is astute, courteous, tactful, and considerate. I hope to find a guy like this once because, as in my experience, they make great friends.
